They say that beauty is only skin deep, but the truth is that beauty is affected by what's underneath. When the building blocks of youth and anti-aging are not being produced naturally by the body, loose, sagging skin that lacks elasticity can often develop. Ultherapy is the only treatment with FDA-approval for nonsurgical skin tightening and lifting. Considered to be the Gold Standard, it’s a single treatment, affordable, no downtime, non-invasive procedure that restores and preserves collagen at the deepest levels. This not only tightens the skin, but it actually slows the progressive signs of physical aging on the treated areas. Ultherapy lifts skin on the face, neck, under the chin, around the eyes and mouth, on the lips, and under the brow. It also reduces lines and wrinkles on the décolleté. Ultherapy may be the perfect way to help you achieve a dramatically fresher, younger look from your brow to your chest!

The Ultherapy Consultation

A quick consultation is all that's needed to schedule a treatment at Serenity Women’s Care. Venessa will ask some important questions to determine if you're a good candidate for the therapy. She will also discuss your treatment options, contraindications, possible side effects and answer all of your questions. Depending on your specific skin concerns, Venessa will help you establish whether or not Ultherapy is a great treatment for you.

How Does Ultherapy Work

Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound to generate a thermal effect under the skin. This effect essentially jump-starts your body’s own process to create fresh, new collagen. As a natural protein, collagen works to give skin its youthfulness by keeping it firm and toned. As we age, collagen breaks down, and the result is a loss of skin strength and elasticity. That’s where Ultherapy steps in and lifts up through ultrasound therapy. Unlike lasers, radio frequency, surgery, and other technologies, nonsurgical Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin through ultrasound energy with focused imaging to target just the right amount at the right depths and the right temperature. The result is a jumpstart to your body’s own collagen production. The proven results of Ultherapy are clear, appearing over two to three months as new collagen works to lift skin on the neck, chin, and brow—as well as smooth skin on the upper chest. Results may improve over the following three to six months, and can last a year or more. It won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift, but Ultherapy is a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for those not ready for surgery.

Ultherapy Results and Follow-up Treatments

The proven results of Ultherapy are clear, appearing over two to three months as new collagen works to lift skin on the neck, chin, and brow—as well as smooth skin on the upper chest. Results may improve over the following three to six months and can last a year or more. It won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift, but Ultherapy is a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for those not ready for surgery. Some clients choose to have a touch up session performed yearly based on their individual results; however, this is purely based upon client preference.

Who is a Good Candidate for Ultherapy Treatments?

The Ultherapy procedure is safe for all skin colors and types, and the therapy can treat sensitive areas such as under the eyes, around the lips, and on the neck. Candidates for ultherapy must have loose skin, or subcutaneous tissue that the ultrasound technology can penetrate to lift and tighten.

Who Shouldn't Get Ultherapy?

People who do not have loose skin (subcutaneous tissue) will not see a result with Ultherapy. For those who are not candidates for the treatment, there are always alternatives such as cosmetic injections that can also achieve amazing results. At your consultation, Venessa will determine if you are an appropriate candidate for the therapy.

Does Ultherapy Hurt? Is Pain Relief Available?

Most patients tolerate the procedure very well, although some treatment areas are more sensitive than others. The treatment most commonly feels like a warm buzzing/tingling on the treatment area.
